Proper usage and maintenance
Proper usage and maintenance is vital for getting the most out of the valuable resources we have. Our designs are made to last for generations, but just like everything else, they need a little care to get there.
Powder coated aluminum
Why
Powder coating is a high-quality and dry finishing process which makes it possible to create a thicker and more streamlined surface than with conventional liquid paint. Applied on the super light-weight aluminum, it reduces the risk of impact from moisture, UV, scratches and corrosion.Cleaning
Use a soft brush with soapy water and wipe with a dry cloth. Note: Do not use abrasive pads or abrasive cleaning agents as this may harm the surface.Maintenance
Although sturdy and resistant, powder coated aluminum is not invincible, be careful not to make scratches in the surface as it will make the material vulnerable to corrosion.Winter storage
The product is usable in all types of wind and weather, all year round. However, during wintertime, it is advisable to store the furniture in an unheated room such as a garage or cellar.Stainless Steel
Why
Stainless steel is a light and long-lasting material with superb strength and is easy to maintain. This makes it a perfect material for outdoor furniture as it can withstand all kinds of weather.Cleaning
Use soapy water and wipe with a dry cloth.Maintenance
Polish such as Gleerustol metal polish will remove tarnish which may occur with prolonged outdoor use. The varnish will also provide future protection.Caution
When using care products for steel, be careful to avoid all contact with wood as this may damage the surface. Do not use products containing chlorine as this will also damage the surface and make it vulnerable to corrosion.Winter storage
The product is resistant to all types of weather, all year round. However, if possible, we recommend storing the furniture in an unheated room during the winter months.Glass
Why
This type of glass is heat strengthened which means an increased resistance to sudden temperature changes.Cleaning
The glass is dishwasher-safe, but if really dirty with soot we recommend to clean it by using hot water, ordinary dish soap and a brush.Maintenance
To maintain the visual and aesthetic clarity, wipe the glass using a soft cloth and standard glass polish.Winter storage
If used outdoors it is advisable to store the glass in an unheated room such as a garage or cellar. This will protect the glass from breaking.
